How convenient that the laws took effect on February 22nd. Yesterday 3/8/10 I get home from work and found a letter in my mailbox from Chase informing me that effective 2/21/10 my variable and non-variable APRs are going to be changing. Now doesn’t this go against the laws that were just made? Wasn’t I supposed to get 45-day notice? Why is it they are mailing this to me after the fact? Is there anything I can do about this?
