Useful Facts About Black Friday That Will Make Shopping Easier

Google has revealed some useful facts about the busiest shopping day of the year — as the day after Thanksgiving is referred to.

One crucial fact that all Black Friday shoppers should know: Traffic peaks on that day between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. So getting their early in the morning, or later in the evening, are both good strategies.

And, by the way, Google found that Black Friday isn’t the biggest traffic day of the season for all stores. Consumer electronics stores, including cellphone stores, see their most shoppers on that day, but other stores see busier days closer to Christmas.

Google used aggregated, anonymized data from people who had their “Location History” turned on last Black Friday to determine that foot traffic in shopping malls, department stores, and other popular spots reaches its peak in the late afternoon.
